Sweeping Rutherglen since 1979
Two generations of the same family have worked the chimneys around Rutherglen, Burnside, Cambuslang and High Crosshill. A lot of the properties here are pre-war sandstone with original unlined flues, and they need treating differently from a modern lined installation.
Unlined brick flues lose mortar over time. That opens gaps between the flue and the rest of the building, which is how smoke ends up in an upstairs bedroom. A camera survey is the only way to see it, which is why we'll suggest one if the flue looks like it needs it.
What it costs
A sweep is £80 for a lined flue, £100 unlined or in a tenement. A full sweep and visual check is £140. Both include the certificate and your Flue Passport. Payment on the day, no deposit to book.
