Chimney sweeps

An exterior inspection is often the first thing we check when we arrive at a property in Glasgow or South Lanarkshire — a visual assessment from the chimney pot down to the roofline, looking for cracked pointing, loose brickwork, missing mortar, or nesting birds and debris blocking the flue.

Because chimney damage often develops slowly and out of sight, we recommend an exterior check at least once a year, especially if the chimney sees regular use through the colder months. It's also a standard part of the process if you're buying a property or preparing for a home survey.

Chimneys Flue Internals

The flue liner and internal structure of your chimney do the real work of safely venting gases and fumes from your fire, stove or boiler. When they're damaged, blocked, or simply worn from years of use, the risks range from poor draw and inefficient burning to a genuine chimney fire hazard.

Our BPSS-vetted engineers inspect the full length of the flue internals, checking the liner and surrounding structure for wear, and carry out cleaning or repairs where needed. If a liner has reached the end of its life or isn't up to current standards, we'll talk you through your options plainly, with no upselling.

Keeping on top of your flue internals is one of the most important — and most overlooked — parts of chimney maintenance. If it's been a while since yours was checked, we'd recommend booking an inspection.

Cctv camera inspection

Some problems inside a chimney flue simply can't be seen from outside, or during a standard sweep. Our CCTV inspections use a purpose-built camera to give a live, close-up view of the entire flue from the inside — spotting cracks, blockages, or structural issues that would otherwise go unnoticed.

It's a non-invasive process: there's no need to dismantle any part of the chimney. Antonio guides the camera through the flue, records the full inspection, and reviews the footage with you afterwards to explain exactly what's been found and what, if anything, needs doing next.
